This itinerary is designed by Oasia. Local partners verify prices, availability, safety, and operations before a booking is confirmed. It is not copied from another platform’s catalog, and it is not already field-verified.
Ala-Archa is close enough to the capital that catalogs glue it onto arrival morning. We do not. This is a park day for people who have slept: pickup after breakfast, park entry, a paced walk along the river or toward a viewpoint you can actually reach, and back to Bishkek before dark. Alpine weather still applies. We do not sell a peak.
Day by day
Morning pickup after breakfast. Drive into Ala-Archa National Park, pay the park fee when it applies, and walk at a pace that matches the group. Picnic or a simple café stop. Return to Bishkek with daylight. If weather closes the upper paths, we walk lower and still call it a good day. Overnight: Bishkek.
Included and not
Included
- Private vehicle and driver from Bishkek
- Walking host if you want more than a driver at the trail
- Park entry as required for the booked date — confirmed after local review
- Picnic or café lunch as agreed
Not included
- International flights
- Travel insurance
- Cable-car or hut fees if they exist and are not listed in your confirmation
- Personal trekking clothing
How you travel
Accommodation. Return to your Bishkek stay the same evening. This is not an overnight in the gorge.
Transportation. Private car, about 40–60 minutes each way depending on traffic. The park road is paved to the main area; trails are not.
Physical requirements. You should be comfortable walking two to five hours on uneven mountain paths with some ascent. We match distance to the group. This is not a technical climb and not a rest day.
What to bring
- Worn-in walking shoes with grip
- Layers for wind at altitude
- Waterproof shell
- Sun protection and water
Safety considerations
- Mountain weather changes quickly even this close to the city.
- Snow and ice linger on upper trails outside high summer.
- Guides or hosts may shorten the walk. That is judgment, not a failure.
Cancellation
Changes and cancellations are handled according to your written booking confirmation. Supplier rules for stays, horses, and trekking support can differ. See the cancellation policy draft and ask Oasia to confirm the terms that would apply to your dates.
Permits and route registration
Some itineraries may involve border-zone permits, park fees, or route-related paperwork depending on the season and exact route. Oasia will confirm what is relevant after a local review. Do not treat this page as a permit checklist.
