This itinerary is designed by Oasia. Local partners verify prices, availability, safety, and operations before a booking is confirmed. It is not copied from another platform’s catalog, and it is not already field-verified.
A first journey through northern Kyrgyzstan for travelers who want the country’s signature landscapes without rushing. The circuit moves from the capital to the great lake, into Karakol, and along the quieter south shore before returning to Bishkek. Ala-Kul is not squeezed into this week. Days can be softened or stretched once we know how you like to travel.
Day by day
Airport welcome, a calm first night in the capital, and time to recover from the flight. A short city walk is possible if you arrive early. We do not drive to Ala-Archa on landing day. Overnight: Bishkek.
Travel through Boom Gorge to the northern shore. Stop for views, a long lunch, and a first look at the lake before settling near Cholpon-Ata or a quieter stretch of shore. Overnight: Northern Issyk-Kul.
Continue east with time for a museum, shoreline walk, or a detour into the foothills. Arrive in Karakol with the afternoon still open. Overnight: Karakol.
Choose among a half-day at Jeti-Ögüz, a town walk, Dungan food, or a gentle valley outing. This day is designed to breathe. Overnight: Karakol.
Cross toward the quieter southern side: Skazka Canyon with time to walk, village stops, and wide lake light. Overnight on the south shore or in Bokonbaevo. Overnight: Southern Issyk-Kul.
A scenic drive west, with room for a last landscape stop. Evening in Bishkek. Overnight: Bishkek.
A final breakfast and transfer to the airport — or an extra city morning if your flight is late.
